In this workshop Meagan will deconstruct the art of the inversion and learn prerequisite movements and drills that will help you safely begin your journey to headstand, forearm stand, or maybe even handstand. Even if you never want to go upside down you will still learn valuable information about your body and drills to make you stronger for your yoga practice at any level. But most importantly, we will explore and play and have fun!
Megan started practicing inversions years ago when she quickly realized that inversions were made up of many smaller components and when broken down and worked on individually, it made progressing into the actual inversion much more attainable. There are many benefits to practicing inversions: improves circulation, it stimulates the lymphatic system, improves balance and stability, proprioception, core and shoulder strength. But inversions can be a little intimidating and it’s hard to know where to even start!
